Xaviera Cardenas is a Research Analyst in the Strategic Market Access team in the Rotterdam office. She has worked in the areas of non-communicable chronic diseases (NCDs), oncology, geriatrics, and tuberculosis in low and middle-income settings.
Before joining Open Health, Xaviera worked as a physician in Chile. She continued her professional development with an internship at the Leiden Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC) as a Research Assistant in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care before entering Erasmus University for her Master’s degree. In her Master’s thesis, she applied econometric methods to estimate informal care patterns at the European level.
Xaviera holds a Medical Degree with honours from Universidad Finis Terrae (Santiago, Chile), a certified Medical Degree equivalence in Spain and a MSc in Health Economics, Policy and Law from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
