Wei-Jhih Wang, PhD is a Senior Research Analyst in the Real-World Evidence & Data Analytics Centers of Excellence, located in Pharmerit’s Bethesda, MD office. Her specific training is in Data Sciences and Health Economics, including economic evaluation, the analysis of real-world data (e.g., administrative claims, cancer registries, etc.) and the development of innovative methodologies.
Wei-Jhih received her PhD in pharmaceutical outcome research and policy at the CHOICE institute in the University of Washington in 2020. Her dissertation was “Mimicking Clinical Trials Using Real-World Data – A Novel Method and Applications”. During the PhD, Wei-Jhih also has internship experience in both the public and private sectors. She was involved in a project related to rural-urban disparities in mental health services at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and responsible for a methodological project to support HEOR at Genentech. Prior to coming the United states, Wei-Jhih worked at a clinical trial center in Taiwan for several years, mainly in oncology. Wei-Jhih hold a MS in Health Services from the University of Washington, and a MS in Biostatistics from National Taiwan University.
