Pooja Shah is Senior Research Analyst in the Real-World Evidence and Data Analytics Center of Excellence located in Pharmerit’s Bethesda, Maryland office. Her expertise includes statistical programming for Phase I and Phase II Clinical Trials using SAS and R and protocol development, data extraction, statistical analysis plan, results reporting and dissemination of these findings for industry-sponsored retrospective observational studies. Pooja has therapeutic experience in the following areas: oncology, cardiovascular diseases, vaccine and infectious disease.
Prior to joining Pharmerit, Pooja worked within Cardinal Health and The Emmes Company in Maryland across a breadth of roles. She supported various HEOR projects using Real World Data such as claims data and electronic medical health records data. She collaborated with the team to prepare PowerPoint presentations, manuscripts and posters for ISPOR. She gained experience working on CDISC standard datasets such as SDTM, preparing tables, listings and figures for various clinical study reports, interim reports and ad-hoc reports using Base SAS, SAS/ STAT, SAS Macro language, SAS/ SQL, SAS/GRAPH and R. Her masters’ dissertation was on “Outcomes in Peripheral T-cell Lymphoma patients treated in the Real World”. Pooja earned Bachelors in Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India and Masters in Public Health (MPH) with a major in Epidemiology from Drexel University, USA.
