Luke Mapplebeck is the Business Development Administrator in our BD team located in Pharmerit’s York office. His expertise includes data collating for our Track Records (TR) and Requests for Information (RFI). Luke is also responsible for a number of Business Development projects, including updating the TRI and RFI tracker, reformatting and updating capabilities slides, establishing frequently asked questions for upcoming changes to the RFI process, and assisting with BD improvements to TR standards, the CRM database and Publications procedures, ensuring the teams administrative systems and support is 1st class.

Prior to joining Pharmerit, Luke worked as a High Net Worth Portfolio Underwriter at Hiscox Insurance York. As a Portfolio Underwriter, he captured all first line proposals and their data, assessing weather clients matched the company’s criteria, and wrote their insurance quote based on standard risk assessments for their target clients. Before this, as an Underwriting Support Technician, he was the first line of contact for the Commercial Insurance Team, supporting them with administrative tasks such as updating existing policies and recalculating premiums. Before this, he had three years of experience in Claims handling and management, Luke specialized as a Litigation Executive for the Small Claims Team at Minster Law Solicitors in York, processing uninsured losses and minor injury claims from the first notification of loss to the final settlement. Luke also has a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from York St John’s University, where he graduated in 2014.
