Jordana Schmier is a Director in the Real-World Evidence and Data Analytics Center of Excellence, located in Pharmerit’s Bethesda office. Her expertise includes claims database analysis and modeling, instrument development and validation, and survey research to explore decision-making and informational needs relevant to patient risk-benefit assessment, physician decision-making, and facility and system purchasing decisions. Jordana has therapeutic experience in ophthalmology, orthopedics, respiratory, inflammation/infectious disease, cardiovascular, neurology, and gastroenterology.
Prior to joining Pharmerit, Jordana worked at Exponent in Virginia, developing and conducting health economics and outcomes projects for pharmaceutical, biotech, and device manufacturers as well as for food and supplement makers and other consumer products firms. She has more than 90 journal articles and book chapters and currently serves on the editorial board of Applied Health Economics and Health Policy. Additionally, Jordana has supported litigation relating to adverse events and health care reimbursement practices. Her work on potential health economic effects of consumer products has been submitted to US and European regulatory agencies. Jordana earned her Master’s in Political Science from the American University in Washington, DC.
