Jelle is an Associate Director working in the Strategic Market Access CoE of Pharmerit. He has worked on a variety of projects, including multiple systematic and targeted literature reviews, strategic advice, objection handlers, one-pagers, country adaptation, value story development and global value dossiers. These projects were set in a wide range of disease areas, including respiratory disease, oncology, endocrine, nutritional and metabolic disease, neurological disorders, urology, and orphan diseases.
Jelle graduated from the University of Leiden in August 2012 and holds an MSc degree in biopharmaceutical sciences. During his bachelor internship he was involved in the development of a model for discovering similarities between drug compound structures. Subsequently Jelle performed his first master internship at the department of medicinal chemistry at the University of Leiden and conducted fundamental research related to the adenosine A2A receptor. During his master thesis he interned at the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and Environment (RIVM) and contributed to the development of a vaccine against the influenza A virus.
