Della Varghese is an Scientist in Real-World Evidence & Data Analytics. She completed her PhD (Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Science) training at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Richmond, Virginia in 2016. Her dissertation focused on resource utilization and costs in Medicare beneficiaries using atypical antipsychotics for off-label treatment of mental health conditions.
Prior to that, she earned her PharmD and MS in Pharmacotherapy and Outcomes Science from VCU. Her master’s thesis focused on concomitant use of anti-diabetic and antipsychotic medications in children eligible for Medicaid. Della has experience working on administrative claims data, chart reviews, electronic health record data and complex survey datasets in additional to clinical trial data. Her focus of interest has been mental health disorders especially schizophrenia and depression. She has also worked as the data analyst for a federally funded community-based participatory study which assessed the effectiveness of pharmacist-led practice model to improve patient clinical outcomes in a rural population. At Pharmerit, Della is involved in chart reviews, database analyses, analysis of clinical trial data, prospective studies and strategic market access research (SLRs, dossiers, value decks etc).
