Pharmerit is pleased to welcome Jordana Schmier, who will join Pharmerit as Director within the Real-World Evidence and Data Analytics Center of Excellence. Jordana brings expertise in a wide range of projects such as: claims database analysis and modeling, instrument development and validation, and survey research to explore decision-making and informational needs relevant to patient risk-benefit assessment, physician decision-making, and facility and system purchasing decisions. She has therapeutic experience in ophthalmology, orthopedics, respiratory, inflammation/infectious disease, cardiovascular, neurology, and gastroenterology.

Jordana joins Pharmerit from Exponent in Virginia, developing and conducting health economics and outcomes projects for pharmaceutical, biotech, and device manufacturers as well as for food and supplement makers and other consumer products firms.  She has more than 90 journal articles and book chapters and currently serves on the editorial board of Applied Health Economics and Health Policy. Additionally, Jordana has supported litigation relating to adverse events and health care reimbursement practices. Her work on potential health economic effects of consumer products has been submitted to US and European regulatory agencies. Jordana earned her Master’s in Political Science from the American University in Washington, DC.
